Extended Vehicle Parking:

You may need to leave your vehicle(s) somewhere near the Northern Terminus while you bike the Parkway. Unfortunately, there are no public parking areas right at the Northern Terminus. But, there are a couple options:

  • Best option is to leave your vehicle(s) wherever you are staying the night before:
    • Hummingbird Haven B&B - You can leave your vehicle at Hummingbird Haven while you bike (parking fee).
    • If you are staying at one of the One Bellevue Place hotels - check with them about leaving your vehicle there while you bike.
  • On the Parkway there is a huge parking area at milepost 440 (there is a Milepost 440 Parking Area "point of interest" on the above map). This parking area is mainly used by "day cyclists" and cyclists biking the entire Parkway as a unloading/staging area. And, many cyclists have left their vehicle(s) there while they bike the Parkway. The park service allows cyclists to park there and other parking areas "at their own risk" and you must inform the park service about your vehicle. For more information, go to: www.nps.gov/natr/planyourvisit/extended-vehicle-parking.htm. (The picture of a parking area on the park service page shows about 1/5th of the parking area at milepost 440.)
