Just off Highway 7 near the parkway exit/onramp is a trailhead for the Highland Rim Trail section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail (a hiking and horseback riding trail that parallels the parkway). The trailhead provides a small parking area for two or three horse trailers. There is no water available at this trailhead. One hitching post is available here. From the Highway 7 exit, turn left (going south towards Columbia) and travel under the parkway. Take the first left onto Old Natchez Trace and the trailhead will be on your left.
