Where and When to See Natchez Trace Fall Colors
Based on hundreds of photos taken during several fall foliage seasons on the Natchez Trace Parkway we have determined the following "average" dates of at or near peak fall colors. So far this year (as of October 25th) leaves have been slower to start turning colors.
Tennessee
northwest Alabama and northeast Mississippi
Central Mississippi
The 2021 Natchez Trace Fall Foliage Photo Contest is here. The contest officially starts on October 15, 2021 and runs through the 25th of November.
Tennessee is typically at or near peak foliage colors from October 24 thru November 9.
In 2021 we are moving dates forward 4 days to October 28 thru November 13.

Leiper's Fork - Fly area: Horseback ride near milepost 418 on the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail.

Hohenwald - Summertown area: It was a beautiful fall day at the Meriwether Lewis Death & Burial site.
