The Natchez Bluff Trail follows a path on top of Natchez Bluff with spectacular views of the Mississippi River and then down a 200' wooden staircase to the base of the bluff. A section of the path on top of the bluff runs alongside several beautiful Victorian-era homes on Clifton Avenue.
Interpretive panels along the trail tell the history of Natchez which was founded in 1716. Take your time - benches are placed at strategic locations along the trail. The trail is wide enough atop the bluff to be shared by walkers and those wanting to leisurely watch boat traffic on the Mississippi River or the sun as it sets over Louisiana.
