The Newman Room

Samuel and Jane Newman were the first owners of The Guest House. Our finest Queen Suite, The Newman Room, is on the first floor and overlooks "Antique Row". This spacious room opens up into the main foyer and sits next to The Parlor. The room has a spacious antique armoire to stow away belongings.

The Rosalie Beekman Room
Queen Bed on 1st Floor
Rosalie Beekman was born in Natchez on May 3, 1855. Rosalie was only seven years old when a Union gunboat, The Essex, bombarded Natchez on September 2, taking her life. This room has a view of The Guest House courtyard.

The Lowenburg Room
Two Double Beds on 1st Floor
Isaac Lowenburg came to Natchez with the Union Army. Before 1880, Lowenburg was elected mayor of Natchez, a position he relinquished after two terms due to ill health. The room is right off the foyer of The Guest House.

Varina Howell Davis, wife of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, was born and married in Natchez. This room has a perfect view of the city of Natchez.

The Louise Room

Louise came to Natchez from New Orleans to be married. The steamboat landed Under-the-Hill. She found herself inside of three stories all relating to never finding her husband and never returning home. The room is filled with vibrant reds and golds.

Pet Policy: Guests with one dog may reserve and stay in one of these three guest rooms: Winston, Duncan, or Bouski, only and so long as:
- just one dog 25 pounds are smaller
- no shedding or very light shedding only
- pet must be house broken
- absolutely no barking or disturbing of other guests in any way
- Pet must use back steps from parking lot to access room
- Pet allowed on upper back porch and in assigned room only
- AT NO TIME IS ANY PET ALLOWED IN MAIN HOTEL, HALLS, DINING ROOM, COURTYARD, MAIN PORCHES, BAR, OR ANY PART OF THE HOTEL PROPERTY OTHER THAN THE PARKING LOT, BACK STEPS FROM PARKING LOT, UPPER BACK BALCONY, AND ASSIGNED ROOM
