The Porter House at Raymond - Raymond, MS
The Porter House at Raymond, on the National Historic Register and awarded the Mississippi Heritage Trust Award of Excellence for its restoration, is located behind the courthouse in Raymond's historic district.
The quaint, antebellum town is only five minutes from the Natchez Trace Parkway, 15 minutes from Clinton, and 30 minutes from the Ridgeland/Jackson area.
The home has two upstairs bedrooms each with a full bathroom that are separated by a coffee bar. Downstairs, guests can relax in the spacious and comfortable Living Room or the Sun Room that looks out onto the beautiful garden area. Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden's fire pit and outdoor chairs.
Bicyclists can easily bike to The Porter House from the Natchez Trace (less than 3 miles from milepost 79). There are restaurants, markets and a grocery store within walking distance or a short bike ride.
On arrival, watch for the "Porter House" sign, which was the traditional name of the house.
