Information for cyclists bicycling from the Natchez Trace to Trailhead Bike and Bed - Houston, MS.
Trailhead Bike and Bed was designed for cyclists - all four guest rooms have two queen size beds (perfect for "singles" biking together), laundry room, bike tools and a fully equipped kitchen. Houston, Mississippi is near the mid-point of the parkway. And, the southern trailhead of the Tanglefoot Trail® (43-mile-long, paved "rails to trails" route) is literally adjacent to Trailhead's property.

- Bicycle Storage: Bicycles can be stored in your guest room.
- Bike Tools: Trailhead has a Bicycle Repair Station with tire pump and commonly used tools
- Food: Breakfast is not included. For an added charge, the kitchen and bar can be stocked upon arrival. There are restaurants and markets within a few blocks.
- Laundry: Trailhead has a common area laundry room.
- Shuttle: Cyclists can be shuttled from/to Natchez Trace at milepost 230 (for a fee).

Trailhead Bike and Bed is located 5 miles from the Natchez Trace Parkway at 576 West Church Street. Exit Natchez Trace Parkway onto Mississippi Highway 8 (milepost 230)
Car Route: Follow Hwy 8 into town which becomes Madison Street. Continue on Madison Street past the Courthouse Square for three blocks. Turn left onto Dr. M.L. King Drive and travel south two blocks to Church Street. Turn right onto Church Street and travel one block to Trailhead Bike and Bed located next to the Tanglefoot Trail®.
Recommended Bicycle Route: (to avoid heavy traffic on Hwy 8) Exit the parkway onto MS Hwy 8 and travel about 100 yards. Turn left onto Starkville Road/County Road 53 (sign says CR 53). Follow Starkville Road north about three miles into town. Turn left onto Church Street and go west eight blocks to Trailhead Bike and Bed located next to the Tanglefoot Trail®.
