During the early 1800s The U.S. Army expanded the Natchez Trace from a foot path to a post road from Nashville to Natchez. Join a park ranger on Saturday, February 15 from 1 pm – 3 pm at the Parkway Visitor Center, in living history attire, to discover what it was like for these men to make Natchez Trace post road by hand.

Ranger Andy will share his knowledge of the time period with visitors of all ages through displays of reproduction equipment carried by the soldiers building the Natchez Trace in the early 1800s.

The Parkway Visitor Center is located at milepost 266 in Tupelo, Mississippi.
