Hike the Yackanookany Trail - Ridgeland, Mississippi

Join the Mid-Mississippi Chapter of the Natchez Trace Parkway Association for a hike on the Yackanookany Section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail and help NPS gather GPS data for the development of a 3-D trail map.

Volunteers will meet at the Reservoir Overlook (Mile Marker 105+) at 8:00 a.m. Wear appropriate foot wear and bring your own water, and insect repellant. The hike will end around Noon, with a picnic lunch for those who want to stay and bring their own lunch. National Park Service interpreters will be available, and some local historians will discuss Choctaw history along the trail.
