Description

Great Big Yam Potatoes Old-Time Music Gathering & Fiddle Contest returns for the twelfth year to the beautiful grounds of Historic Jefferson College near Natchez on May 17 and 18, 2019. The festival celebrates Mississippi’s unique brand of traditional string band and fiddle music. Admission is FREE.

The weekend begins Friday, May 17 at 6 p.m. with a potluck dinner on the college grounds. Then at 7 p.m., there's an old-time dance called by Bridget Edwards.

On Saturday, May 18, a day full of live acoustic music featuring some of the most region's best Old-Time musicians starts at 9 a.m.

Talented fiddlers of all ages will compete for over $1000 in cash prizes in the Great Big Yam Potatoes Old-TIme Fiddle Contest.
