In accordance with the recommendations of the CDC and state government regarding COVID-19, Maury County Bridle and Saddle Club, the organizers for the annual Mule Day celebration and parade, along with the City of Columbia and Maury County government have made a joint, vital decision to cancel this year’s Mule Day April 2nd-5th.

Mule Day is an annual celebration of all things related to mules and is held in Columbia, Tennessee, the "Mule Capital" of the world. The 2020 Mule Day celebration will take place from April 2 thru April 5.

Begun in 1840 as "Breeder's Day", a meeting for mule breeders, Mule Day now attracts over 200,000 people and takes place over seven days. In addition to mules, traditional Appalachian food, music, dancing, and crafts are featured.
