There are two main ways (Geographically and Business Type) that Advertiser Merchant pages can be found on NatchezTraceTravel.com:

• Geographically:
  • We have divided the parkway into 15 areas (each approx. 30 miles long). Your business would be mentioned and have a link to your Advertiser Merchant page in the appropriate area (possibly two if you are located where two areas intersect). The 15 areas listed below can be found on the site in two ways: "Top" of Site Navigation Bar under Parkway Info and On the "Right Side (full screen and wide tablets)" or "Under Content (smart phones and narrow tablets)" Site Menu under "Area Merchants". Merchants listed with a picture have an Advertiser Merchant page. Below merchants with a picture there are other merchants listed who have a free Merchant Page that doesn't receive as much exposure on the site (merchants with a free page are able to upgrade to the Advertiser level).

  • Located Nearby Banner Ads Within your "area" of the parkway (1 or 2 of the above areas) below the main content of most pages that are "geographically" located within the area is a "Located Nearby" section where a picture, name and link for 1 to 3 of our Top 30 Favorite Natchez Trace Sites and Advertisers (places to stay and merchants) within the same area are selected at random (each time a page is viewed they are selected at random). Here are a few examples:
    • Northern Terminus of the Natchez Trace which is in the Nashville - Franklin, TN area of the parkway. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, past the Facebook comments and you will see the Located Nearby featured sites/businesses.
    • Parkway Scenery Photo Gallery page for the Waynesboro - Collinwood, TN area of the parkway. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the Located Nearby featured sites/businesses.
  • City/Town Directory Pages We have a page for most of the cities, towns and villages located near the parkway. After a brief summary of the town there is a "Featured Points of Interest" section that promotes major attractions in the area, places to stay on the site and Advertiser level Merchants with a picture and a link to their page on the site. Find your town/city in the list below (if your town isn't included, we will add it if you join the site). Wouldn't you want to be featured on your city/town page?

  • Interactive Mapping System using Google Maps: A map can be displayed for several hundred "things" on the site that have a geographic location (e.g. Natchez Trace sites, Near the Trace Attractions, Places to Stay, exit/access roads, towns/cities, markets/restaurants, etc.) Businesses that have an Advertiser Merchant page are added to the mapping system. When a map is displayed and your location is in the map area, you will have a "map point" on the map and there will be a picture of your biz and a link to your Advertiser Merchant page next to the map. Here are a few examples:

We are also active on Social Media. Especially, Facebook and Instagram. We use both to generate interest and to drive traffic to NatchezTraceTravel.com. In addition, if your business is active on Facebook and/or Instagram we will "follow" you, "like" most of your posts, and "share/repost" some of your posts.

Optionally, you may participate in our Merchant Coupon program. No additional cost if you purchase the Advertiser Merchant page. We mail out 80 to 125 Natchez Trace Travel Planner packets each month to people who request and pay a shipping and handling fee. The packet includes the park service Natchez Trace Parkway map, our Top 30 Favorite Sites and Nearby Lodging map, a lodging flyer and several Merchant Coupons. The following information/pictures will be included on your Advertiser Merchant page:

• Introduction Banner Image A picture collage about your biz, centered at the top of your page. This same image will be used on some of the promo areas mentioned above.
• Large Feature Picture If we have a fairly hi-res image, we will display it across the width of the screen (on smart phones the image goes across the screen as well, but our system uses a smaller size image to make the download fast)
• Summary Write-up about your business tailored to the Natchez Trace traveler audience.
• Photo Gallery of up to 12 pictures
• Contact Information at the bottom of your page: phone number, email address, website/Facebook link(s), physical address with a link tapping into our mapping system with your location in the middle of the map and basic directions from the nearest parkway exit.

We do all the heavy lifting to create your listing. All you need to do is pay your first year fee and we can use pictures and info from your website or Facebook page. You may also email photos and information for us to use. We can tweak the listing together.
